Set in this picturesque Irish seaside village of Greystones you feel as if you are in a remote unspoiled town but it reality you are about 45mins south of hustle and bustle of down town Dublin. This unique village is very quaint and is the location of Ivy Cottage. The Architecture designed by Arc Design respected the characteristic and details of the local architectural style. The house is set in land about one block from the sea, in order to profit from the sea views and light they made a daring decision and flipped the function of the house and placing most of the living spaces up stairs and the sedated spaces down stairs. This was a complete success. The interior design for the upper level is open and airy with a modern seaside cottage feel. Everything in the upstairs is meant have a bright summery feel open to the outdoors. The lower levels are warm, calm, relaxed with all the rooms colors designed a bit softer and more natural. The beauty of Ivy Cottage is how the interior and exterior reacts intimately with its environment.

Peter Mark Forestside hair salon provides a new look with a clean fresh Miami inspired style. The salon is bright and airy with minimalist modern glamour details. The design is quite clever with a back focal wall made out of white precast sculpted panels which gives the space a wonderful textural pattern. Sophisticated polished chrome details adorn the salon in the form of doors, moldings and trims. The space is offset with a soft dusty duck egg blue painted walls which give the feel of being near a tropical beach. The center focal point of the room is a large chrome spherical chandelier with it wave like sections that appear to be floating within the space. Luscious red velvet curtains fill the large glazed store front and that offsets the space with just the right amount of drama.

The brief for STYLE CLUB was to deliver a completely new “concept salon” which would push the boundaries of design. It is a space, which will be staffed and patronized by those, prepared to set trends and dare the status quo of hair styling. This is not a place for the timid. It takes Punk, Anima, New Wave, Memphis and Classical Designs and mixes a potent 21st century cocktail. The design is not minimal. Less is not more in this space-more is more and very entertaining. Entering the salon feels like falling into Alice in Wonderland, where this time she’s a punk rocker. Patterns clash and work at the same time. Colors collide that should never go together, and yet somehow work. Everywhere you turn is a new experience, you just want to sit down and have the stylist create your own personal style.

All though out the hotel there are elements that reflect upon the traditions of this extraordinary culture yet translated with a modern sensibility. From the grand entrance to the café restaurant even the whisky bar shows Edinburgh in the light as being the cutting edge city that it is.

Everything in the Cliff House Hotel creates a feeling of casual sophisticated comfort with the right balance of warmth and elegance. Stonewalls run throughout the building contrasted by a fine collection of Campaign antiques which in turn is complimented with subtle modern architectural details throughout the building. No matter where you are in the hotel the design focuses your attention out towards breath taking views of the sea and cliff side vistas.

The college is set in the heart of a trendy neighborhood in Dublin City and occupies four floors of a historically preserved building. The design brief was to cleverly integrate what was historically preserved with cutting edge “new” to provide an atmosphere that provokes creative inspiration. The design is sophisticate, unique and reflects the stature of one of the top hair design brands in the world.

The project brief was to use design to revitalize this well-established company and quite literally turn it on its head. It was imperative to set Lifestyle Sports apart from its competition and this was accomplished by making the shopping experience like no other seen before. The soaring entrance space literally surrounds the customer with actions that defy gravity. There’s a soccer team playing horizontally on the wall, runners hang from the track on the ceiling and swimmers glide through the air suspended overhead. Today’s shoppers are more sophisticated than ever and the Lifestyle Sports design concept provided a bold shopping experience worth the trip.

The Post Office of today needs to be diverse in its use by combining retail, postage, packaging and banking just to mention of few. The new concept for An Post, Ireland’s national post office, has an modern design that take in the excitement of a new retail space while catering to all the needs that are important in running a profitable post office. Be it urban, suburban or rural, this prototype takes a new and innovative approach to how a post office of the future helps support the lifestyle of today’s customer.
